The Westpac-Mebourne Institute index of consumer sentiment has climbed 7.7 per cent this month to 108.3 per cent, its highest since December 2010. It is featured in The Age, Herald Sun and Australian Financial Review today.
The latest results show that optimists among Coalition voters outweigh the number pf pessimists by five percentage points, a reverse of the recent pattern in which Coalition voters were strongly negative. This new trend is featured in The Age today.
